The Forest lies verdant, primordial, alien, upon the edge of the Great Rivers. The canopy of the ancient god-trees block the high sun, casting a dim gloom upon the swampy lands below. This strange land was your crèche, your kiln. You held whispered sway over your secret court, frolicked amongst the forgotten standing stones, danced through pools of absent starlight. You set the gloaming lanterns afloat and lazed between the shadows of the god-trees. Eventually you grew tired and bored of your home, your temple. You have emerged from your twilight realm into this world, and it is so very bright and so very interesting.
